Tiger Marching Band Journeys To The Future

With a new school year comes a new and higher expectation for the Alexis I. du Pont High School Tiger Marching Band. Every year of experience improves our corps and that experience is gladly shared and passed on to the incoming Freshman class. The Tiger Marching Band of 2010-2011 will again offer exciting performances for our audiences and opportunities for growth and leadership to our musicians and auxiliaries. Our fall semester will be capped when the band visits Italy for a New Year's Day performance.

Family members, band alumni and friends are invited to join us again this year and share our journey. Please support us by becoming a band booster organization member, attending AI football games - both home and away, attending the New Castle County Band Festival at Tiger Stadium, and participating in band fundraisers like the annual sub dinner on Friday, October 2nd. Paul L. Parets, director of the Alexis I. du Pont High School Tiger Bands, has been recognized with the Jessie Ball du Pont Award by the Delaware Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Parets was also recently profiled in School Band and Orchestra, a professional publication for music educators.
